CustomLoL is a free matchmaking platform for League of Legends custom games. You create a lobby (or join one), pick your role and team, chat via text or voice, and then everyone joins the game in the LoL client through the invite link. The game itself is played in Riot Games' official client.

Yes, completely. No subscription, no ads, no in-app purchases. CustomLoL is a non-profit community project.

No. A simple nickname is enough to create or join a lobby. You can also sign in with Discord or Google, in which case your stats (games played, wins, lobbies created) are kept between sessions.

In the LoL client: Play → Custom Game → Create Custom Game. Pick the map (Summoner's Rift, ARAM…), the champion select mode and optionally a password, then invite your players. Our guide How to create a LoL custom game covers every step.

A classic 5v5 custom takes ten players, but 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 or 4v4 games work fine too. On CustomLoL the lobby creator picks the capacity; empty spots can be filled with bots in the client.

That is exactly the problem CustomLoL solves: your lobby is visible live to every connected player, with its mode, level and schedule. Yes. Each team gets built-in voice chat, right in the browser, nothing to install. Audio travels peer-to-peer (WebRTC) between players: it is never recorded or stored on our servers.

Yes. The lobby creator can set a target level (Iron → Challenger) so games stay balanced. Declare your real rank: joining an Iron lobby with a Diamond account ruins the game for the nine other players.

Yes. CustomLoL has a tournament area: sign-ups, teams, bracket and results tracking. Creating tournaments is reserved for partners (Discord communities, streamers…) — apply via the “Become a partner” button at the bottom of the site. Also check our guide to running a LoL tournament.

No. CustomLoL is an independent project, not endorsed or supported by Riot Games. League of Legends is a registered trademark of Riot Games, Inc. We only bring players together; the game itself is played in the official client.

We collect the bare minimum (nickname, game stats if you sign in): no ad trackers, no data resale. Lobbies and chat messages live in memory and disappear after the game. Full details in our privacy policy.

Yes, the site works in any browser, including on your phone — handy for organising the lobby on the go. The game itself is played on PC in the League of Legends client. You can also enable notifications to get pinged when your lobby fills up.

Three languages, three domains: customlol.eu in English, customlol.fr in French and customlol.nl in Dutch. Lobbies are split per language, so everyone understands each other in game.
